Level of the Spirit
Friday, March 20th, 2009It is a life force that fives impulse to what is good, true and beautiful, honest, lovable, just, and peaceful. It is an impulse toward the fullness of life, towards life everlasting. The level of the spirit is the innermost part of me, the inmost point of my life, the point of encounter with my best Self, The level of the purest encounter with God and with another person. It is a level not so easy to reach because the focus of the body and the impulse of the mind clamor for attention, but it can be reached.
I am meant to leave the three levels; I encounter only my EGO-SELF. I am self-centered, but if I enter my inner self – the presence of Got in me – then I reach my REAL SELF. The spirit gives lightsomeness to the body, and the body lends cohesion to the spirit. The body tends towards enjoying life; while the spirit tends towards embracing the fuller life. When the body serves the spirit, the body is drawn to a fuller life with the qualities of the spirit. However, if the spirit is subject to the body, then the spirit is limited to the impulses of the body and such a limitation eventually means death.
